  1. मराठी भाषा आणि वाङ्मय मंडळ organized two programmes this year. One was in the first semester on 23rd august 2014. It was  based on the theme ‘RAIN’. Poems and songs on the theme were presented by the students as well as teachers. The programme  was named ‘पावसाची सर... शब्दांचा बहर’.

 

  2. Another programme was on the occasion of मराठी भाषा दिन which is celebrated on 27th February every year. The programme  was held on 3rd march 2015. it was a competition on speaking in Marathi for a minute on the given topic. Students, teaching and  non-teaching staff participated in the same.

 

  3. Students actively participated in the annual students’ literary conference “प्रतिभा संगम” held on 12th, 13th, 14th December 2014  at Dnyansadhana College, Thane. Our M.Sc. student Miss Nitu Yadav won the first prize at the state-level poetry competition.

 

  4. An exhibition was conducted for the S.Y.B.A., S.Y.B.Com. and S.Y.B.Sc. students on their IVth semester syllabus of F.C.

 

  5. ‘My Marathi’, the book co-edited by Prof. Sonalee Gujar was published on 13th August 2014 by Amir Khan. The book is on the  course in Communicative Marathi for the non-Marathi speakers.

 

  6. Presented a paper – ‘पथनाट्य : समाजिक संघर्षाचे नाट्यरूप’  in a National Seminar on ‘नाटक : एक साहित्यप्रकार’. The paper was  published in the proceedings.

 

  7. Was the resource person for the teachers’ training course for Communicative Marathi held at UOM. Topics – 1. Grammar and     2. Learners’ psychology.

 

  8.Was the resource person for the Marathi language teachers at DES’s new English School, Pune. Topic – Innovative teaching  methods to teach Marathi.
